Boy, 16, stabbed to death in Albouystown

On Monday afternoon, a 16-year-old child named Isaiah Smith, who lived at Lot 100 Middle Road in La Penitence, Georgetown, was reportedly stabbed to death by a 45-year-old male.

The deadly event happened at around 14:55 p.m. near Hogg Street and Independence Boulevard in Albouystown, Georgetown, according to police headquarters. Two eyewitnesses, ages 15 and 16, told detectives that they, along with the now dead kid, were sitting on a bench east of the older man’s home, according to a police report.

The guy allegedly urged them to relocate, and when Smith refused, the man apparently hit him. This resulted in a fight.

The guy then grabbed a knife from his trousers waist and stabbed the victim in the left upper abdomen, according to the complaint. Smith is said to have run a short distance before collapsing on Independence Boulevard.

He was then escorted to Georgetown Public Hospital by a cab driver and a Ruimveldt Police Station Rural Constable, where he was declared dead by a doctor on duty. Smith’s remains is now being examined by a pathologist at the Georgetown Public Hospital morgue.

Meanwhile, the Crime Scene Unit has captured the suspect, and the purported murder weapon has been found, according to the police report.

While investigations are ongoing, the individual has been taken into jail.
