Deputy, Trespassing Suspect Shot in Pinal County

ARIZONA’S PINAL COUNTY — According to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, a sheriff’s deputy was shot by a trespassing suspect Wednesday night and was brought to the hospital.

The deputy was responding to a complaint in the Dudleyville area when the suspect shot him, according to the PCSO. According to officials, the deputy returned fire, hitting the suspect.

Both the deputy and the suspect were taken to the hospital, according to PCSO. Their health status has not yet been revealed.

People who provide information that leads to an arrest or indictment in the case may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
