Prince George’s Police Id Victim of Fatal District Heights Shooting

The victim of a tragic District Heights shooting has been identified by Prince George’s police.

Markelle Morrow, 24, of Washington, D.C., was fatally shot Friday in District Heights, Maryland, according to police in Prince George’s County.

Officers responded to reports of shooting in the 3400 block of Walters Lane in District Heights at 5:40 p.m. Friday, according to police. Morrow was discovered “in a parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound” as police were investigating the area, according to police.

Morrow was rushed to the hospital, where he died a short time later, according to authorities.

Prince George’s County police said they’re looking for suspects and trying to understand out what led to the fatal shooting.
