2 Charged in Titusville drive-by Shooting that Killed Teen

Records show that two males have been detained due to a drive-by shooting that killed a young boy and a woman in Titusville, Florida, earlier this month.

Charges have been filed against 37-year-old Maurice Brown and 28-year-old Reshod Lewis for a gunshot death on March 9 at 3rd Avenue near DeLeon Avenue and the United States Highway 1.

Drayontai Mason, 17, and Teressa Henderson, 25, both of Titusville, were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds after the shooting occurred at 10 p.m. As a result of their injuries, the victims were brought to a local hospital pronounced dead.

An 18-year-old man drove himself to the hospital after he was wounded by a gunman, according to police, with non-life-threatening bullet wounds. According to the police, he was in a stable condition.

According to a report, officers collected surveillance footage showing four people loitering outside the property. According to reports, a dark automobile drove past the four persons in the video before opening fire on them.

In a “reckless manner,” two of the four suspects — identified as Brown and Lewis — fired at the dark automobile behind vehicles parked in front of the house while wearing camouflage hoodies. Officers reported that “many residences beyond the car they were firing at” were in the line of fire during the shootout.

Police said that a relative from one of the victims recognized Brown from the surveillance footage that showed the criminals’ faces.

There were many bullet holes in the house and neighboring vehicles seen on video at the scene. Investigators sent more than 20 forensic markers in front of the house.

Convicted felons Brown or Lewis face charges of firearms possession and firing a handgun in public. Additional charges have been filed against Brown for breaking his pre-trial release conditions.
