Two Teens Shot and Killed Monday Night at Dubarry Park

Two teens were shot and killed Monday night at Dubarry Park on the east side of Indianapolis. Indianapolis police say two adolescents were shot and killed Monday night at a park on the city’s east side.

Just after 9:30 p.m., there was a shooting at Dubarry Park, located at 8702 East 35th Street. Gunshot wounds were found on the 14-year-old and 15-year-old boys by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers who responded to the park.

Upon their arrival, the paramedics confirmed the deaths of the two young men. The Marion County coroner’s office later recognized Da’Vonta White and Isaiah Jackson.

The inquiry into the shooting’s circumstances, particularly the nature of the boys’ relationship, continues. The location where the incident occurred, near North Post Road and East 38th Street, has been declared safe by police.
