Students at Hyosan High School in South Korea star in “All of Us Are Dead.” If bullying and unrequited crushes aren’t bad enough, the teens must also endure a zombie virus. It’s a bleak portrayal of youth, politics, and individual cynicism in the face of collective catastrophe.
Throughout the series’ 12 episodes, fans were gripped by dramatic moments of sacrifice, heroism, and romance. The dramatic finish and unanswered mysteries have fans demanding a second season.
Until then, here’s all we know about Season 2.
Season 2 has a lot to tell.
A second season of “All of Us Are Dead” has yet to be confirmed. Their co-creators Lee Jae-kyoo, Chun Sung-il, and Kim Nam-su have remained silent. Although Season 1 was built to allow future plots, series director Lee Jae-kyu is optimistic about the show’s future. “A second season would be amazing,” he told Hypebae. There are more fascinating storylines if there is a second season, because the storey was written with that in mind.
There are many unresolved plotlines in Season 2 after “All of Us Are Dead.” The show’s asymptomatic zombies, or “halfbies,” are perhaps the most interesting aspect of the plot. This will let the series to study how the virus evolves, how halfbies work, and how many others there are.
The illness has spread to other sections of the country, which is another significant issue moving into Season 2. From Joo Dong-“Now geun’s at Our School” series, the virus could reach Japan. All of Us Are Dead also featured a zombie mouse, sparking concerns about cross-species transmission. In anticipation of the Season 2 launch, fans have plenty of source material to study. Season 2 will have Survivors and halfbies returning.
No one can be sure who will return for “All of Us Are Dead” Season 2. As any horror fan knows, no death is certain until the body is seen, thus the Jonas Virus takes its toll on Hyosan High School and the surrounding neighbourhood. In “All of Us Are Dead,” many deaths, especially those caused by military bombing, are implied. As a result of this, Lee Cheong-san (Yoon Chan-young) may live. There’s also the possibility of a flashback appearance by a cast member. A video diary from the virus developer Lee Byeong-chan will undoubtedly emerge.
And then there are the survivors. These include Jang Ha-ri, Lee Su-hyeok, Nam On-jo, Park Mi-jin, Seo Hyo-ryung, Kim Bo-yun, and fan favourite Yang Da-su (Lee Eun-saem) who all manage to avoid being bitten by the zombies (Lim Jae-hyuk). Meanwhile, Choi Nam-ra (Cho Yi-hyun) survives the bite and becomes a halfbie powerhouse.
