Teen Charged with Murder After Fatal Shooting in Randleman House Party, Randolph County Deputies Say

According to Randolph County authorities, a teen has been charged with murder after a deadly shooting at a Randleman home party.

A 19-year-old guy was charged with murder on Tuesday, according to a press release from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, after one person was shot and died earlier this month at a home party in Randleman.

Randolph County Sheriff’s officers responded to a gunshot incident on Leonae Drive in Randleman at 11:58 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8. According to witnesses, there was a party going on at the house when 20 or more individuals showed up uninvited at 10:30 p.m.

At 11:45 p.m., a brawl erupted in the front yard, and many rounds were fired. Deputies established that the gunman left the site and that the victim was transferred to a nearby hospital by private car.

Daniel Lopez Vences, 20, of Asheboro, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alexandre Osorio Carbajal, 19, was arrested in Asheboro on Tuesday and booked into the Randolph County Detention Center on felony second-degree murder charges.

A $500,000 secured bail and electronic home arrest were imposed by the magistrate.
