FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (CSU) – A suspect in a double homicide in Georgia was captured in northern Arizona, according to federal investigators.
Joshua Sanders was apprehended at a bus terminal in Flagstaff on Wednesday afternoon, according to US Marshal Service officials, and is awaiting extradition.
Sanders, they claim, was recently released from jail and was wanted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigations for his alleged role in the deaths of a female acquaintance and her mother last Thursday in Vidalia after a domestic quarrel.
Sanders allegedly stole the victims’ car and fled to Alabama after the incident, according to authorities.
Sanders allegedly boarded a bus in Oklahoma on Tuesday evening, intending to travel to California, and was detained with three weapons in his hands.
