After a mother and her child were discovered dead in Lawton, a guy was arrested.
CSU/ Following the discovery of a lady and a child dead at an Oklahoma apartment complex, authorities in Lawton have provided more details.
On Jan. 6, Lawton Police Department officers were dispatched to the St. James Apartments in the 8800 block of NW Cache Rd. in response to complaints of a suspicious individual in the neighborhood.
David Vanduyn was waiting for police when they got on the spot.
Investigators felt they needed to check on Vanduyn’s wife and child during their conversation with him.
Officers discovered Naoko Vanduyn and the couple’s child dead after conducting a welfare check.
Vanduyn was apprehended and placed under arrest.
Officials haven’t said why Vanduyn committed the act or what charges he’ll face.
