Big Spring PD Investigating Overnight Shooting, Two Injured, One Dead (1)

BIG SPRING, Texas (CSU)– The Police Department has opened an investigation after someone was shot at night. There are two people who were injured and one person who died.

Police responded to the 100 block of Carey Street at around 12:50 a.m. on Tuesday because there was a shooting. When they got there, they found two people who had injuries from gunshots. One person was 42 years old, and the other was 26 years old.

A woman told the police that the suspect, Danny Crosby, was inside the house and had shot both people. Inside the house, investigators found him with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Police and EMS treated all three people at the scene. They were taken to a hospital. The woman was later flown to another hospital as she was in critical condition. The man remains in the hospital and is stable. Crosby died after arriving at the hospital.

Big Spring Police said the investigation into the shooting is not finished.
