Mt. Morris Middle School Placed on Lockdown After Bullet Found Inside

(CSU) MT. MORRIS, Mich. On Monday morning, Mt. Morris Middle School was placed on lockdown after a gunshot was discovered in a bathroom.

The bullet was discovered in a boy’s toilet Monday morning, according to Mt. Morris Consolidated Schools Superintendent Mickie Kujat in a letter to the community. The school went into lockdown mode right away, and administrators phoned the cops.

A total of 15 police officers assisted in the search of the school. There were no weapons or signs of danger discovered.

The bullet’s whereabouts were unknown to police and authorities at the time. While police and school authorities continue to investigate, no arrests have been made as of Monday morning.

Kujat urged parents to discuss the dangers of bringing weapons or ammunition to school with their children. She warned that they could face serious legal and educational consequences.
