SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (CSU) — According to authorities, a confrontation in Salt Lake City early Saturday resulted in a gunshot, which left one guy dead.
Someone heard gunshots at 900 South Edison Street and called the police. It was late, around 1:30 a.m., on Saturday night.
According to the press release, “when officers got on location, they discovered an adult male on the ground with a gunshot wound.” “When police arrived, life-saving attempts had already begun, and SLCPD officers aided and proceeded to administer extra first aid. The victim passed away on the spot.”
The victim was not identified right away.
The gunshot was caused by an “isolated quarrel” involving several persons, according to authorities. According to the police department, there is no evidence that the event is linked to a fatal shooting that occurred the day before in the city’s East Central district.
Several witnesses to the incident on Saturday departed before police arrived, according to authorities. Call Salt Lake Police at 801-799-3000 and mention case number 21-227118 if you have any information regarding what happened.
