Two Dead, Three Injured After Crashing Stolen Car in Minneapolis During Police Chase

MINNEAPOLIS (CSU) – Two people died, and three were hurt in a crash when the police chased a car that someone had stolen. There were five children in this car at the time of the crash.

Minneapolis police said a car stolen from Minneapolis was found by the city of Robbinsdale at 2 a.m. on Thursday near County Road 81 and Abbott Ave North. They chased the thief into Minneapolis, where they lost control and crashed the car at the intersection of Hayes Street Northeast and Northeast Lowry Avenue.

Five kids were in the car at the time. One died at the scene, and another died after being taken to a hospital. The other three were seriously injured and taken to hospitals too.

The Minnesota State Patrol is trying to find out what happened in the crash.
