4 Family Members Killed After Calif. Plane Crashes Minutes After Takeoff

California authorities have identified the victims of a plane crash as four people from the Sacramento area.

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office announced Saturday that four people died in a plane crash. They were 78-year-old David Chelini, his nephew 58-year-old Steven Chelini, and his daughters, 46-year-old Karen Baker and 48-year old Donna Chelini. The accident happened near the Visalia Airport.

The Sheriff’s Office wants you to pray for the Chelini family. They are going through a difficult time.

The family members were in a single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza aircraft when it crashed. The TSCO (Transportation Safety Council of Ohio) received the call about the crash from Visalia Airport at 6:35 p.m. on Saturday evening.

When deputies arrived, they found that the plane had crashed and killed the four people on board. They have been identified as David, Steven, Karen, and Donna.

The authorities got their first call about the incident 4 minutes after the plane took off. This is according to KCRA.

When investigators arrived, they had to search through a heavy layer of fog to find the crashed airplane.

When we all responded, we were trying to find the plane.

Cox said, “The area is a large reservoir, and it’s hard to get back there. We need to walk. We looked for it for as long as we could with the people we had.”

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating why the plane crashed before it took off.
