URBANA TOWNSHIP, Ohio (CSU) –A woman is dead after a car crash in Champaign County. She was 78 years old.
A 78-year-old lady, Ruth Thomas, died after a car crash. She crashed in Urbana Township, and she was pronounced dead on Nov. 30th.
An investigation into the crash showed that Thomas didn’t stop at the sign and got hit by a car. After the impact, his car came to rest in someone’s yard. The second car continued after the crash and hit a utility pole and caught fire.
Both drivers were taken to the Urbana Mercy Hospital. Ruth Thomas died. The 24-year-old was flown to another hospital for more treatment.
The Champaign County Sheriff’s Office and the Champaign County Coroner are investigating this incident.
