Pensioner Dies After Being Hit by a Car in Merseyside

A person who has retired has died because they were hit by a car. The accident happened on a busy main road in Merseyside.

Emergency services were called to Moorgate Road North on Wednesday, 1 December. A crash had happened there. When officers found a man in his 70s and a silver Vauxhall Astra, they knew something had happened. Police called paramedics for help, but the man died before they could get there. The police told his family.

A car driver stopped at the scene where something happened. The driver is helping the police with their inquiries.

Sergeant Mat Shaw said: “We are investigating this tragic incident. If you were there at the time, what happened? please come talk to us.” If you were in the Moorgate Road area at about 5 pm and have a dashcam, please review your footage and tell us what you see.
