In a single-vehicle collision, a pedestrian was hit at 5:30 p.m. on Monday near College Avenue and Kingsley Street. The victim was pronounced dead at 4:16 p.m. on Tuesday after being taken to Carle BroMenn Medical Center.
The police went to the accident on Monday evening. A girl was there, and she got hurt. She is at the hospital. They are making her better. The person who died will not be made known until their family, and next of kin have been told.
The accident reconstruction team said that the driver of the car did not stop when they were supposed to. They were driving in a crosswalk.
An autopsy will happen at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
The police, coroner, and a team of people who know about accidents are investigating this one.
