SPRING HILL, Kan. (CSU) — Two people died when a car was hit by a train. It happened in rural Kansas.

The accident happened Thursday night in a place called Miami County. It is south of the Kansas City area. Police said that the car and some of the trains were on fire after they collided.

A car and a train met. Two people were killed. No one on the train was injured. The police are not sure why the car was on the train track when it got hit, but they say that it did not seem like there was something wrong with the car.

The victims‘ names have not been released.
