MASON COUNTY, W.Va. (CSU) – This month, one of the inmates in the jail died. The North Central Washington Special Investigation Unit is investigating it. A woman named Mallory Greenlee, 37 was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sgt. Joe Finnicum said the call came in at 5:45 p.m. The police said that Greenlee was in her car. She was going south, and she crashed into a van that was going north. A hospital in Huntington flew the driver of the van. Police think one car crossed the center line. But they don’t know which car it was yet.

A man working nearby heard the crash. He said it sounded like a bomb.
