Louisville Police Arrest Man in Connection With Fatal 2020 Shooting in Portland (1)

 Louisville Police arrested and charged a man. He was involved in the shooting of someone on 17th Street in Portland.

Courtecy Miles, 38, has been charged with murder and first-degree robbery. She shot Brian Keith Cardwell on Aug. 1, 2020. Detectives interviewed a person who said he dropped off “Chicago” and Cardwell at Cardwell’s house before the shooting.

Miles allegedly shot Cardwell many times. Police found Cardwell’s body at his house in the 500 block of North 17th Street that afternoon. Miles was seen on video surveillance cameras following the shooting and leaving Cardwell’s house with a gun and a bag.

In Louisville in 2021, a man was shot and killed at a gas station. Police have identified the man. The latest on violence in Louisville

Cardwell was 34 years old. He worked as a drywall hanger for Ballard Drywall and had three children.

Miles has a home, but we do not know the address. He did not have an attorney listed in court records and will go to court on Wednesday morning.
