Nope recombines Jordan with Daniel Kaluuya, who became the record with the filmmaker’s debut feature, Get Out. Nope also includes Keke Palmer, Steven Yeun, Barbie Ferreira, Brandon Perea, and Michael Wincott.
Peele has announced the name and release date of his third film on social media with a tweet of the film’s mysterious poster. According to the artwork, Nope is set to publish only in theatre on July 22, 2022, undoubtedly one year after the announcement. Peele didn’t involve any other information, with the caption showing a single cloud Emoji, similarly to the cloud in the poster.
Keke Palmer will be cast as a female lead in her biggest dramatic role since 2019’s Hustlers. The chief cast is Steven Yeun, another recent Oscar nominee, for his performance in Minari. Yeun has gained plenty of experience with thrillers, from starring in The Walking Dead to his performance in the 2018 film Burning.
