NEWPORT NEWS —Police are investigating a shooting that killed someone. The shooting happened on Monday night in the midtown section of Newport News. On the night of March 27th, police got a call about shots being fired. They went to the 9000 block of Jefferson Avenue, near Jefferson Lab.
Police say they found a man who had been shot outside a local business. He was pronounced dead at 11:18 p.m. Police have not yet shared information about the victim or any suspects.
The investigation is still being done.
