Stolen Car Recovered in Petaluma, 2 Arrested Police (1)

PETALUMA, CA — Two people were in a car that was stolen in Sacramento. They were arrested early Thursday in Petaluma.

Around 1:50 a.m., a police officer saw that the car in front of him on Old Redwood Highway was stolen. The officer ran the license number plate and found out that it was stolen. Then, he called for help from his bosses on the phone.

The police officer stopped the car and detained the driver, Bailey Bowen, 20, and the passenger, Francisco Yanez, 26. They are both from Santa Rosa.

Bowen was arrested for car theft and drugs. She also had an outstanding warrant from the Sonoma County Juvenile Probation Department/Court. She was taken to the Juvenile Hall in Sacramento.

Yanez was arrested and booked into the Sonoma County Jail. He is suspected of having less than an ounce of drugs, which is a misdemeanor.
