(CSU) —A police officer saw a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The driver was speeding and the officer tried to catch up with them but couldn’t.
Police say the officer followed the car east on Stephens and then south on Warner. Police said the chase ended on Warner, south of 9 Mile.
The officer was driving, and she turned off the lights and siren. She was going back to the city when she found that the suspect crashed into a tree at Warner and Poplar.
The driver was found on the scene and it was determined that the car was stolen. The accident is being looked into by the police department in Warren.
