In August 2021, thirteen episodes of the anime series Shaman King landed on Netflix around the world. If you have already watched all of them, there will be more coming soon in December 2021. There might even be up to three seasons that Netflix will show before the end of the year.
Shaman King is a show about a boy who can see spirits. The show is on Netflix. It’s from the manga of the same name by an author named Hiroyuki Takei. The show is also a reboot of an anime from 2001.
This story is about a boy named Manta who could see spirits. You, a girl training to be a shaman, found out that he could see spirits. You want to become Shaman King, and you thought that Manta would help you with this goal.
Why doesn’t Netflix simulcast Shaman King?
This is a question that we have answered before. Shows are locked in what’s called Netflix Jail. The answer is an amalgamation of things, but at the end of the day, don’t expect Netflix to release new episodes of Shaman King weekly.
When this article was published, only 17 episodes of Shaman King had aired. As of November 11th, 31 have aired, with 52 expected in total.
When is Shaman King Season 2 coming to Netflix?
We reported in our original preview for Shaman King that we were expecting the release of the second season in November 2021, but we were a month off. Our evidence is because of scheduled Blu-Ray volumes for Shaman King.
- Volume 1 – Aug 25th, 2021 | Episodes 1-13
- Volume 2 – Nov 24th, 2021 | Episodes 13-26
- Volume 3 – Feb 23rd, 2022 | Episodes 27-39
- Volume 4 – May 25th, 2022 | Episodes 40-52
Now, in 2021, a new batch of episodes is coming to Netflix on December 9th.
This means that Season 3 should be coming in March 2022, and Season 4 should come out in June 2022.
