Clarence Schools Closed as Authorities Search for Suspect (1)

Clarence Central Schools are not open today because a person is being looked for in the area. Early this morning, we were told that the Erie County Sheriff’s Office and other nearby organizations are looking for a wanted person. To make sure the safety of students and teachers, local law enforcement said to close the school so they could fix it.

Principal Frahm said the school learned of this situation early this morning.

“I know that school delays and cancellations cause a number of hardships for our parent community. But we always choose to be safe, so the Clarence Central School District will be closed on Wednesday.”

The Erie County Sheriff’s office is looking for David Cottom Sr. He is a “person of interest” in an incident in Clarence. If you see him, call 716-858-2903.
