Andrea Petkovic To Retire After 2022 season (1)

Andrea Petkovic, who used to be number nine in the world, plans to retire after the 2022 season.

Petkovic is 34 years old, and she thinks it’s time for her to stop playing tennis.

This week, Petkovic is playing for Germany in the Billie Jean King Cup. Andrea Petkovic played against Czech Marketa Vondrousova on Monday and lost. Then he played against Swiss Viktorija Golubic but lost again.

Petkovic Wants To Share Her Wisdom

“I try to share my experience with you because I don’t want it to be wasted,” said Petkovic. She made her Billie Jean King Cup debut in 2007.

Young players need to make mistakes in order to get better. It’s hard for them to even when they get advice from other people about what to do because they might not do it right. The only way is if we tell them what will work and share our own experiences, too.

Billie Jean King has done a lot to help tennis and to help female athletes. She did this in the 1970s. Today, most of the best paid female athletes are tennis players because of Billie Jean King’s efforts.

She did so much while she was the number one tennis player in the world. She made it to be number one. We should all look up to her. Read her book and hope that other people do too.

I think it is easier to be appreciative when you play on the court. When things get hard, remind yourself of how far you have come. It might seem like too much to teach the young players about the history of the sport, but I would like to teach them what it means and how far we’ve come.
