9-1-1 Season 5 Episode 6 Recap

In episode 6, Buck and Eddie go to break off a prison riot. They arrive near the prison, and the 118 comes too. The revolt starts fires in the facility, but Buck and Eddie save two inmates from death. Christopher’s father was taken hostage by the inmates. Christopher thought they were guards. The real soldiers came, and they were scared. They did not fight back even though they could have.

The police catch one of the inmates, but Mitchell is still in the ambulance with Eddie. Buck and Eddie will go to a hospital, but that isn’t allowed for inmates. Mitchell gives his son Nolan a new heart; that’s why he can’t be in prison anymore. Eddie tells Nolan that Taylor will release a story about him so that the government will pay attention. But before he can do anything, Mitchell shoots himself in the head.

Eddie performs CPR on Mitchell. When he realizes that Mitchell’s heart is still alive, the judge decides to commute Nolan’s sentence and give him Mitchell’s heart instead. Elsewhere, Hen decides she wants to be a general surgeon after helping a prison doctor save a life. Ravi goes into the prison dressed up as an inmate and helps Bobby control the prisoners. He has the most challenging time at the end of Episode 6.
