Two Dead, Over a Dozen Injured In Mass Shooting At A Halloween Party In Joliet

Two men shot and killed two people at a Halloween party. Joliet police are looking for them.

The Will County Sherriff’s Sergeant heard 10-12 gunshots in the Jackson Street and Walnut Street area around 12:39 a.m. The sergeant went to find out what was going on, but when he arrived at the scene, about 100 people were running away from there.

Some people from our police department went to a party. They were up to figure out where the party was located. People at the party said that there were about 200 people there. The shooting happen in the yard of a home near a DJ booth set up in the backyard.

Some people were hurt and died. Two of the victims who were hurt died right away. Four others had life-threatening injuries, and they needed to be in a hospital for a while. We don’t know the names of the two people who died yet because we have not called their family members yet.

Witnesses say there were two people shooting at the party. They shot from a porch that was higher up than the party, looking down.

The first and second shooters are described as average-sized Hispanic and black males. The first shooter was wearing a red hoodie, black hat, dark pants. The second shooter was wearing a yellow hoodie with a ski mask.
