Netflix Is Not Rushing to Acquire More Game Studios

Netflix just got its first game studio. They said that they would not buy another one soon. But if a good opportunity comes, they will not say no.

Netflix COO Gregory Peters explained their strategy for gaming. He said it is to use the Internet to deliver video games.👍

“The opportunity will come when we see a good opportunity.” The CEO said this. If someone wants to buy, then they should do it. This is a tool that the company uses, and if they find a great deal, then they will buy it.

Netflix has just bought the company behind an indie game.

“We are really excited about that team in specific because they have tried to explore story and narrative as the central game mechanic,” said Peters. “This fits really well with what we are trying to do. So it has been great to get them on board and involved and hear their thoughts and ideas. And I expect this will be a rich collaboration over years to come.”👌

The game keeps to a group of friends as they open a supernatural rift. The next game in the series, Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, will expand the story and make it more interesting.

“You can tell from our track information, we are selective when it comes to M&A,” said Spencer Wang. “But as Greg said, if an opportunity presents itself where the company is aligned with us, then that’s an opportunity we’ll take.”

A while from now, a new game will come out called GTA Trilogy Remaster. It has three different games from the trilogy. They are coming to Xbox Games Pass and PlayStation Now soon.😯

Elsewhere, the creator of Stardew Valley, ConcernedApe, is working on a new game.
