Nichole Schmidt, Ms. Petito’s mother, said: “I want to put him in a cell for the rest of his life.”
Right now, it has been 31 days since Mr. Laundrie’s parents told the police that they couldn’t find him. The North Port Police have not found any new evidence about what happened to him, but they keep looking. They are also searching for a big nature preserve where he was last seen.
Authorities said that their belief is that Mr. Laundrie has a 50% chance of still being alive.
