The fallout that followed wasn’t small. Dawson lost 400,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel, and he also lost his collaborative makeup line with the beauty guru Jeffree Star. This was because of the controversy.

Nearly a year and a half have passed since Dawson posted an apology video about the scandals. And after he teased it for a long time on social media, he finally uploaded a forty-minute video on October 7, 2021.

In the video, Dawson said he felt bad about what happened last year. He said he was horrified.
