North Carolina Woman Wounded When Suspects Fire Into House

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (CSU) — Police in Winston-Salem said that a woman was shot when suspects drove up to her home and opened fire before fleeing.

The Winston-Salem Police Department said in a statement that the shooting took place early Sunday morning in an area north of downtown.

According to a statement from the department, cops were dispatched to a shooting. According to police reports, the home was targeted by several shooters who arrived in multiple vehicles and fired numerous shots before fleeing.

According to the release, a 34-year-old woman was shot multiple times and taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police did not immediately offer further information.
