‘Cowboy Bebop’ Netflix Unveils Opening Credits for Live-Action Series — Watch

“Cowboy Bebop” is the most renowned anime series in history, and Netflix aims to replicate the original series’ magic for both old and new fans with its live-action adaptation. During the inaugural Tudum fan event, Netflix debuted the opening credits sequence for its 10-episode drama.

On Netflix, “Cowboy Bebop” is an action-packed space Western about three bounty hunters, or cowboys, all looking to leave their misadventures behind.

It is set in the near upcoming and follows a group of Chicago police officers as they investigate a supernatural phenomenon. It was written by Matt Miller, executive produced by André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, Josh Appelbaum, and Scott Rosenberg of Midnight Radio; Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements of Tomorrow Studios; Makoto Asanuma, Shinichirō Watanabe, the creator of the original anime series, is a consultant on the live-action adaptation, as well as Yoko Kanno, the original composer. Alex Hassell and Elena Satine are among the stars of the show.
Nemec has recently stated that the Netflix adaptation would not be a straight remake of the original anime, and he suggested that it might answer long-held mysteries about its characters.

“We got inside the skin of who the live-action characters would be. I believe that the anime’s poetic nature allowed us to delve into the character’s archetypal qualities and unearth additional histories — as well as address some of the questions raised by the anime,” Nemec added in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. “I feel that redoing the anime would leave an audience unsatisfied since they have already seen it. The anime was fantastic. We don’t need to serve the same meal again. It would have been a letdown if we had done so.”
