WandaVision season 2: Release Date, Cast and Plot

WandaVision season 2 (1)

The future is unknown for WandaVision. Marvel may continue the story of everyone’s favourite Avengers in season one. Marvel boss Kevin Feige has been vague about the second season of WandaVision. He talked to the media and didn’t say much. This is a hard sentence. However, during a chat with Variety earlier this year, Feige said that the season count of each show would vary.

“There are some demonstrates that have been built to tell more stories about the character. We announced that Elizabeth Olsen will be in Doctor Strange 2. Teyonah Parris, who was in TV show WandaVision, is going to be in Captain Marvel 2.”

WandaVision season 2: Release date

WandaVision season two has not been confirmed. Elizabeth Olsen is currently filming Doctor Strange 2 so, if it were to make a TV comeback, we would not expect new episodes until late 2022 at the absolute earliest.

Paul Bettany has also been cast in a lead role in the BBC drama A Very British Scandal. Sarah Phelps is writing the series. Paul Bettany will be dedicating his time to this project.

This book is about how the Duke and Duchess of Argyll divorced. It was a big divorce case in the 20th century.

Unless you have some awesome powers, it’s hard to do this. And if you do, what are you waiting for? We need new episodes NOW!

WandaVision season 2: Plot

In WandaVision season 2, the Black Order will take over the world, even with the Avengers and MCU heroes. In an exclusive for Entertainment Weekly, Marvel revealed that Vision’s android body would be infected by a virus that causes him to build a robot army and enslave humanity. The other Avengers and MCU heroes will discover Vision’s intentions and head to his peninsula in hopes of stopping him.

There’s also a big bad in this series. Aided by the Super-Adaptoid, Madame Masque will try to rule the world with her robot army. Her minions will be Wanda Maximoff (Scarlett Witch) and Pietro Maximoff (Quicksilver). However, what happened to their father, Magneto (busy in Legion season 2), was not revealed. We may see him appearing in some flashbacks or hallucinations of Scarlet Witch.

WandaVision season 1: News and rumours: What we know so far

A 10-episode limited series has been confirmed by Deadline. It will be set in the MCU after the events of Avengers: Endgame. And, it will feature Scarlet Witch and Vision with a darker storyline than anything we’ve seen before in this franchise. We also know that showrunners are Kieron Gillen and Marguerite Bennet, who wrote Infinity War and Endgame. Kevin Feige will also produce the series, alongside Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany. But, they will not appear in all episodes of WandaVision. The series will be between Thor: Love and Thunder (2020) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 (2021).

Kathryn Hahn (Transparent) is rumoured to play an FBI agent trying to find Scarlet Witch over suspicious activities involving her powers. We may see some flashback scenes showing how Wanda created Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). Also, it was previously reported that Teyonah Parris (Dear White People) had been cast as Robin – Vision’s sister-in-law. And now, it’s confirmed that Parris will play the role of a human who tries to bring Vision (android body) under control. Robin will try to convince Scarlet Witch not to obey her husband regardless of if he has brainwashed her, as she may lose him forever.

It was also rumoured that WandaVision is part of Marvel’s Phase 4 rollout, just like Loki and What If…?, although that hasn’t been confirmed at this point. Recent updates revealed that Marvel TV is developing several shows based on new characters – Moon Knight, Ms Marvel and She-Hulk. There were also speculations about Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel appears in WandaVision season 2 and other supporting characters, but there are no official updates. It was reported that Kevin Smith (Clerks) is playing an adult version of the superhero Chip/Speed in WandaVision, but there’s no official confirmation about his role as of now.

What is Marvel’s WandaVision TV series about?

Kevin Feige previously revealed that Scarlet Witch and Vision would play a significant part in Avengers: Endgame (2019). He also stated that they’re “very much so” characters worth exploring further after Infinity War and Endgame events. So far, we know that season 1 will revolve around Scarlet Witch and Vision with darker storylines than anything we’ve seen before in the MCU. No plot details are out yet, except for the fact that we’ll see Robin and an adult version of Speed (WandaVision season 2).
