Succession season 3: Cast

The cast of Succession season 3 has been announced, and it’s bubbling with talent. It’s not an entirely unfamiliar cast for UK viewers, with Adrien Brody (Peaky Blinders), Alexander Skarsgård (Big Little Lies), and Linda Emond (Maniac) all having appeared in British shows in the past. However, there are also newcomers to UK screens in the form of Jihae, Dasha Nekrasova and Ella Rumpf.

Indeed, the biggest casting coup is that actress Sanaa Lathan – who played Bette Porter in The L Word – will be joining the show as Sandi Furness, daughter of Sandy Furness. Hope Davis joins her as Sandy’s daughter, who is game for some drama.

There are also new characters joining the fold this series, including Josh Aaronson (Adrien Brody), a billionaire activist investor who becomes pivotal in the battle for the ownership of Waystar Royco; Tom Wamsgans (Matthew Macfadyen), Roman’s most trusted confidant and die-hard Roy loyalist; Cousin Greg (Nicholas Braun), Kendall’s charming, entitled ex-husband; and Adam Wexler (Harris Yulin), an ageing financier with ties to Logan’s past.

Succession season 3 will continue its exploration of greed and power when it returns with another batch of 10 episodes later this year! The Emmy-winning drama, created by Oscar-nominated writer Jesse Armstrong (In the Loop), is an epic tale of family and empire, set against a fictional media conglomerate.

The Roys are back! Succession season 3 will debut later this year on Sky Atlantic in the UK and HBO in 2019. US viewers can watch it on Now TV, which offers one month’s free trial to new members.

Succession Season 3 – Sneak Peek

HBO has released a series of clips from ‘Succession’ episode three, which you can watch below! They begin by showing us what Shiv gets up to while Kendall is away in India, although she isn’t exactly excited about being left alone with her father’s terrible friends. Elsewhere there are snippets of Tom trying to get under Logan’s skin and some hellish dinner parties involving Jeremy Strong’s character Waystar Royco CEO Roman Roy.

“It’s an emotional roller coaster,” Armstrong said the show. “When we last left off, Kendall and Shiv were in a car together . . . It’s not going to end well for either of them.”

Succession Season 3: Plot

Succession season three will focus on the Roy children’s attempts to save themselves after their father Logan (Brian Cox) decides to sell the company. They are each desperate to prove that they should be his successor, but none can match up to Roman (Kieran Culkin), who runs Waystar Royco with all the ruthlessness of an American Psycho CEO. The series is thought to have been inspired by the Murdoch family saga at Fox News, which led Trump supporter Rupert Murdoch to proclaim it “funnier than people might expect.” He added: “It’s not all true, but it certainly seems true.”
